Corporate Lawyer, KPMG Law – Nicosia
Overview
We are currently looking to recruit an Advocate to join KPMG Law offices in Nicosia, operating through Theodorides, Georgiou, Iacovou & Co LLC. This is a great opportunity for a high caliber professional who wishes to work and thrive in a high-performance environment.
The Opportunity:
- Assisting with M&A transactions and the structuring of corporate finance arrangements
- Drafting legal opinions and legal memos on corporate, commercial and contract law issues
- Drafting and reviewing contracts, agreements and other legal documents
- Participating and assisting in restructuring and insolvency projects including receiverships and liquidations
- Preparing legal opinions for local and international clients on corporate and/or commercial matters
- Participating in international business reorganization projects and assisting with the preparation of documentation
- Incorporation of companies in Cyprus and preparation and submission of documents to the Registrar of Companies
- Ensure compliance with AML legislation and carry out due diligence on clients.
The Requirements:
- Law degree (LLB)
- Member of the Cyprus Bar Association
- At least four years of working experience in Corporate, Banking and Commercial law
- Excellent knowledge of the Greek and English languages (written and spoken)
- Excellent knowledge of Excel/Word/ PowerPoint (Microsoft Office)
